Still, thats such a great idea, having braile on a t-shirt. It gives a whole other dimention to language. I was just writing to Rich that I thought there should be a type of braile invented for computer interfaces -- not based around a line of text that you have to run your hands across but based around the architecture of the hand at rest. It could be based the layout of the vocal tract maybe -- so "G" would be the thumb and maybe "C" the heel of the hand and "CH" the pinky and "T" the middle finger and "P" the tip of the index finger, or something like that. Maybe vowels could be done with the other hand. Then you could press your hands against someone elses and speak silently. The benefit of this is not immediately obvious to me but I'm sure it would be a lot of fun, and interactive too.

I love the idea of braile on the back of a t-shirt. Maybe a mantra in braile or an exagerated squishy braile that was fun to read over and over again -- for backrubs. Also the braile dots could have rubber pegs on their underside for added tactile effect against a back. But I still think I like the Braile voice from thumb to index finger better.

oops I just realized that they are for grabby pervs. and I already sent the link to Rich with the comment, "Have you seen this?" At Zcorp I made a model that I thought could be used to teach blind people about math, "realcomplicated ball" at my 3D page.

cooool.

One summer day in 2000 Smitty asked me and my friend Miko to be in this Asian movie that was being filmed on the MIT campus. We were supposed to wear ties and jackets and look mature because the film crew wanted to show that MIT students wear ties and look like they are 35 years old. As we were filming this real MIT student happened to walk through a shot and he was about 7 feet tall and he was wearing this full body winnie the pooh suit. At the time I thought nothing of it but now it occurs to me that he was a furrie. Aha. Hey by the way don't I get a nickname?

Gay Penguin: "..."
You gotta love the look on Edwards' face as he is listening to Gay Penguin.

Thanks for your concern Chary, plants are our friends. Poison is a dirty word meant to keep us away from our friends. This is my bumbling attempt at a fabric print design after the method that Chary taught me. I think I've figured a better way out but this was the first try.
